Stories in the Vale: A Reading Series

I am collaborating with the owners of the newly-opened Viridian Bookshop in downtown Willoughby to share a new reading series: Stories in the Vale! Our goal for this reading series is to share the work of local writers and allow people to experience literature in a new way. Thanks so much to the writers and attendees that joined us for our first reading and open mic!

Our second reading will be on December from 6-9 pm. We plan to have four 'planned' readers to start off the night, with each artist reading for 15 minutes, or about 10 pages. We are happy to accept writing of all genres; the one restriction is that the work or section of the work being read should be free of profanity or explicit content. This is to be mindful of individuals and families coming into the store. If you are unsure if your writing would be suitable, please let me know, and I can confirm it. Afterwards, the mic will be open to other writers for the rest of the night.
